Award thresholds are set based on UK students’ performance. Typically, 60–65% of UK participants receive at least a Bronze certificate, and the top 7–8% earn Gold. Chinese participants are awarded according to these thresholds. In 2021, nearly 14% of Chinese students earned Gold, over 17% earned Silver, and more than 26% earned Bronze.
